Imagine This.....

Christmas Shopping!! Need i say more! HA HA

Gingerbread Houses

Every year we have a family tradition of making gingerbread houses. This year Zach had gotten a train from his aunt and wanted to make that instead. I didn't get many pictures for some reason. My kids really love this! Preston did awesome on his own. After we take pictures with Grandma and Grandpa and then they have a gift for each of the kids, which is always some kind of ornament for the tree(didn't get pictures of those). Thanks Grandma and Grandpa - we always have fun.

Bienvenida Hermana Scott

My niece Whitni left for the MTC on Wednesday. We were able to enjoy lunch with her the day before and say goodbyes...again! Whitni will be an amazing missionary. She has the gift of touching hearts with her presence. She is honest and sincere and is down to earth and easy to talk to. I wish her the best and will miss her as I am sitting here crying as we speak. She won't be able to read this as she is in the MTC already(If I wouldn't wait so long to post my blogs) but she is the best! Everyone needs a Whitni!!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree.....

For those of you that know me well, know that I am VERY anal about my Christmas tree. Every year I do the lights, ribbon and beads and the kids can put on the decorations and then I go and fix what I need to. I know pretty insane!! This year however, we decided just to use the tree we have-not my most very favorite, and I thought I would let the kids decorate the ENTIRE tree by themselves. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I still wanted to go "fix" things, but I think I have mellowed in some ways. It was a treat to see them work together.

Turkey Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was quiet just our family and Karla. My boys have so much fun with her, although we missed Erin and Karrie!! The food was great and Karla played card games with them. Later we went up to my sisters and played this great card game Michol and Jamie found- Werewolves! What an awesome game! The only downfall you need at least eight people at a time to play. Thanks for inviting us guys!

These are the only pictures I have of Thanksgiving. I always seem to forget taking picture of the important things like the turkey that turned out perfect, family enjoying the food.... I mean "hello". However, I did get a picture of my cat. She thought she had died and gone to heaven!

Going Private

I too have decided to go private. With the report on KSL and I have had a few wierd comments left on my blog at an earlier time, I just feel for safety reasons it is better to go private. I love to keep in touch with family and friends as I have found so many through other blogs. So if you would still like to follow mine, leave a comment or send me your email address to preszach@comcast.net for an invite. I will not go private for a few weeks as to give you time to get your info to me.

The Dentist

I took Zach to the dentist a few days ago. He really likes the dentist now and thinks it is the coolest thing. He found out that he had four cavities!!! Ugh! He was so excited thinking cavities were a good thing. I told him cavities aren't really a good thing and he got sad. I told him he was going to get fillings in his mouth and get some laughing gas. Here is the finished results! He did really well.

A big smile for my happy boy!

Movie Weekend

This last weekend was more unproductive than usual but we did catch up on our movies..sort of. We took the kids to Madagascar 2. Zach is a big fan however he wanted to leave half way through the movie. Preston and his friend liked it as well as Allen and I.

Then we rented "Get Smart", very funny. We both love Steve Carrell.

Next was "Hellboy 2". Allen really liked it. He said it was better than the first one. I feel asleep.

We wanted to go see this one but decided time wise it wouldn't work. We both love James Bond and liked Casino Royale a lot.

As for Twilight, I can't even wait to see this one! I don't have my ticket for the midnight showing(those crazy fans- actually my best friend had to work that night so I said I would wait). What was I thinking?!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun and warm! Zach knew exactly what we were doing and was counting down the days- Whoa watch out for Christmas! Anyhow Zach was Thomas the train again, very easy and Preston was Link from Zelda. Everyone who plays video games knew exactly who he was and others who didn't know Zelda just thought he was an elf-which was pretty close. He thought is was an awesome costume.

Preston was so proud of his Link costume.

Zach was tired of taking pictures and was pouting. He just wanted to go trick or treating!

We went trick or treating with cousins and then went trick or treating at Grandma and Grandpa's house and neighborhood, then ended back at their house for sloppy joes. Allen can't wait to go through the kids' candy.

Arrow of Light

I guess this is a tribute of posts to Preston. Whew!! Last week Preston was able to earn his Arrow of Light award, which is the highest ranking in Cub scouting. We are so very proud of him. The leaders and other scouts participated in a ceremony for Preston where they lit candles each representing something and then had Preston crossing over the bridge to Boy Scouts. It was very cool!
Way to go Preston!! Dad and I are proud!

Pumpkin Fun

I absolutely LOVE carving pumpkins with the family! We have made it a family tradition and I hope the kids love it as much as Allen and I do.

Before

AFTER

My pumpkin was like frozen or something because Allen couldn't get a knife in it so we just did the three. Oh don't they look awesome!!!

"11"

11 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT PRESTON

1. He has an amazing heart. He is genuinely concerned about the well being of his friends and others and always tries to include those who feel left out.

2. He is a good big brother to Zach. I couldn't have asked for better.

3. He is a happy morning person.

4. He is very intelligent.

5. He has a very vivid imagination. i wouldn't be suprised if he were to invent something someday.

6. He has an excellent memory- Remembering when mom asks him to clean his room, not so well. ha ha!

7. He has a great sense of humor and is so fun to be around.

8. He loves to draw and is very artistic.

9. He is the best gamer I have ever seen(well Rogan may still come in first and Michol a close second) but I tell you Preston is amazing with those video games. His dexeterity is awesome. He is so fun to watch.

10. His enthusiam for life.

11. His affection towards his parents. Even though he is the big 11, he still gives me hugs once in a while.

Happy 11th Birthday Preston!

Happy Birthday Preston

It was Preston's birthday last week. He turned 11 and I wanted to make it as special as I could for him. Zach and I decorated his room while he was at school. Surprise!

I made him his favorite meal for dinner and then opened presents later. The picture below has a funny story. Preston loves dragons so I wanted to get him a poster of a dragon. I picked one up at Walmart and looked in the slot and all the tags on the posters inside the slot were the same. When Preston was opening the present later in the evening, Allen started bustin' out laughing and I didn't know why. Preston finishes opening the present-its a poster of Al Pacino's Scarface! I have never seen it but know that it is a bloody mobster movie. The poster has a rated"R" in the corner with the suggested violence and such and he is also holding a gun. You can't see the whole poster not too violent but not something I meant to get. We all had a good laugh.

He also got "Iron man" DVD , black Hurley jacket, clothes ,legos, Spiderwick field book, and money from grandma and aunt Miranda to buy guitar hero for DS. Yeah, I know its not even Christmas! Ridiculous!!!

He also had a friend party(like that wasn't enough). These boys are all so great! They had a Wii tournament and had awards after. We opened presents, had cupcakes and ice cream and played football.

Few updates....

I am officially a blog slacker!! I haven't posted for a while(with the exception of this last one). There have been many things that have happened the past months and I don't want to back track too much. There were birthdays, camping trips, family parties, missionary news... I could go on with a lot but here are just a few recaps of the last months. I am also excited for the fall and holiday seasons. I love this time of year!

Allen's birthday

Jumping jacks for Zach's birthday

Zach and his cousins. All of their birthdays are so close together.

He was the VIP(very important person) at preschool the last two weeks. He was really excited about that.

My niece Whitni is going on a mission to Chicago, Illinois Spanish speaking. I love her so much. Sorry Whit not the best picture I have of you.

Corn Belly's

We went the Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. I totally recommend it!! The kids had a lot of fun and especially with cousin Whitni. This is after the hay ride we rode. Whew! A little bouncy but oh so fun.

Looking out into the pumpkin patch on the hayride.

We all decided to get our faces painted. Preston was even a good sport about it. At first he was like"NO WAY!", but obviously gave in. Don't we all look cute!

This is the corn maze. We only went on phase one, the shorter one, which was enough. We also went through the haunted creature. I don't have any pictures of that but the whole family was scared except for me!
